Be Selective When Choosing Plugins for Your Blog

Choosing The Right Free Blogging Accessories
There are many free blogging aps and plug-ins on the market today, but be careful, overuse can easily backfire. While it may be tempting to add a visitor counter, flashy background, an exciting new font or cluster of quirky animated gifs, loading up your blog with all of the free accessories that you can find, isn't necessarily a good idea. Get the most out of free blog tools and be selective.

It's a good idea to learn about all of the different kinds of free tools available, you can then make an informed decision about which ones to use. Remember, just because you can have something, doesn't mean that you need it. Practice restraint, only choosing the options that will be useful. E.g., you can find out how many visitors are reading your blog by checking your traffic statistics, either on your blog stats page, webhosting or google analytics. Adding a visitor counter is unnecessary clutter. Or, if your blog is text-based, a flashy background is more of a distraction than a benefit.

Be realistic about assessing what kind of blog accessories to use will help you realize your vision and improve your site.

Avoid Making Complicated Blogs
In order to have an interesting blog, try not to use highly technical words. Unless it is a tech-site, a science discourse or a debate that you are making, stick to simple facts and your articles not too long. Most people using the Internet usually scan more than scrutinize each site word for word. Simple and less is often better.

Make Your Blog Interactive
Encourage your readers to leave a comment, by way of asking a question or for their opinion. In this way, you can get some impressions or reactions of other people. You can also gain some great connections, even some friends just by making them feel at home in your blog site.

Social bookmarking and share options are a great thing to have. These allow your readers to pass on information which they may find interesting or useful to their followers and friends. Indeed, blogs are not created just for the mere fun of it, It also has its own purpose in the world of the Internet. Therefore, for people who wish to harness their craft, as far as writing is concerned, blogs are the best way to do it. As they say, blogging is the contemporary term of creative and commercial writing.
